Here are some expert tips to create Royal memories this autumn
For the Outdoor Adventurers
Recommended by our Accounts Team, Adrian and Pamandeep.
Why not enjoy one of Britain’s best bike rides, a family friendly route starting in Windsor?
You’ll follow the Jubilee riverside track towards Dorney – a venue for the rowing and kayaking events at the 2012 Olympics. You’ll pass through the beautiful gastronome’s village of Bray, which holds as many Michelin stars as Chicago and Rome combined!
On your way through Eton Village, you’ll ride past the magnificent Eton College buildings, before returning over to Eton Bridge where the Sir Christopher Wren Hotel sits.
Rest your weary legs with afternoon tea by our fireplace or a luxurious beauty treatment in our Wren’s Club.
For the Romancers
Recommended by our Front of House Manager, Andiswa.
What could be more romantic than a boat trip up the River Thames, sipping champagne whilst enjoying the fine view of the Castle from the upper-deck.
Travel from Windsor upstream to Boveney Lock and return, with views of Windsor Castle, Eton College, Mill House, Windsor Racecourse and Brocas Meadows.
After the river cruise, which disembarks mere steps away from the doors of the Sir Christopher Wren Hotel, enjoy a delectable three course dinner in our Thames View Restaurant, or sit on our terrace, watching the sun set across the River.
For the thrill-seekers
Recommended by our HR Administrator, Rebecca.
In a town that is 1000 years old, it’s no surprise that when darkness falls, Windsor Castle and the Old Town have many a ghostly tale to tell. From royal to rogues, martyrs to murderers, knowledgeable tour guides will reveal the hidden horrors of Windsor’s past on a spooky walk around the shadowy streets.
Our Front of House team will happily assist in booking you into an after dark ghost walk, revealing the macabre history of our town.
