The last long weekend before Christmas is less than two weeks away, so make sure you don’t waste the August Bank Holiday Weekend by leaving your plans to the last minute. The Maidenhead Beach
Norden Farm in nearby Maidenhead has transformed into an exotic Hawaiian Beach for the Summer. You can relax at the beachside café, explore the shore and the Hawaiian canoe, or make friends with the resident shark – if you’re brave enough! Norden Farm will also be screening family favourite movies throughout the Summer, and this August Bank Holiday Weekend Lightning McQueen will be taking the limelight in Cars 3, tickets are still available and can be bought online here.
Boyzone at Royal Windsor Racecourse
90s pop fans are in for a treat this August Bank Holiday Weekend as Boyzone are playing Royal Windsor Racecourse Season Finale Raceday on Saturday 26th August. The much loved boy band have sold twenty five million records over the last 24 years and are still going strong. Tickets are still available for the race day and it is guaranteed to be a great day out for all the family.
Totem Pole Challenge
Throughout the Summer holidays, the Windsor and Royal Borough Museum is holding a Totem Pole Challenge. Get creative with the kids and take them along over the August Bank Holiday Weekend to decorate the museums totem pole collection, whether it’s a forest animal or a winged beast your little ones are sure to love it.
Walk the Thames Trail
Get out and about in nature this August Bank Holiday Weekend and follow England’s most famous river through peaceful water meadows, historical towns and cities, and unspoilt rural villages. Completing the whole trail will take you a whopping 14 days, but you can enjoy a smaller section of the trail as it passes through Windsor and Eton.
