Food and Beverage Services Manager

Our Food and Beverage Department is the heart of our hotel and includes our Brasserie restaurant, Bar and Terrace as well as extensive Meeting and Events facilities. As Food & Beverage Services Manager you will be leading the service team to provide round the clock service to satisfy our guest’s. What will I be doing as Food & Beverage Services Manager?

  • Managing the Brasserie and Meetings and Events teams to ensure smooth operations and service at all times.
  • Leading by example; coaching  and sharing knowledge through a hand-on approach.
  • Recruiting new team members to join the existing team and building the team to deliver an excellent level of service to our guests to ensure prior guests return and we attract new clients.
  • Carrying out regular performance reviews with team members to develop them & their skills
  • Creating and managing a monthly department training calendar to include product knowledge, customer service skills standards and health and safety training to ensure team are able to deliver Company standards at all times.
  • Liaising with the Executive Head Chef, with regards menu product knowledge and promotions.
  • Building and managing the pool of casual workers ensuring they are inducted, trained and developed.
  • Effectively managing the equipment used by both Brasserie and Meeting and Events to ensure stock takes are done on a regular basis and equipment is replaced when needed.

As Food & Beverage Services Manager you will have

  • Minimum of 2 year’s experience at an Assistant Manager or higher, in a quality 4 * hotel, ideally with experience in a Brasserie style operation.
  • Operational experience in all F & B departments including Events & Weddings with a good knowledge of wines & spirits and a passion for fresh, quality food.
  • Financial awareness with an understanding of food & beverage revenue streams & controls, including POS, ideally Micros.
  • Self-motivation and the ability to motivate others to achieve.
  • The drive and ability to implement standards, policies and procedures and to ensure they are adhered to.
  • Proven man-management, coaching and team building skills.
  • A good understanding of all applicable Food Safety and Health & Safety legislation.
  • An outgoing personality, excellent interpersonal skills, a professional manner and good command of written & spoken English with good IT skills.
  • A working knowledge of/exposure to all operational areas of the hotel as Duty Management will be part of the role.

Food and Beverage Floor Services Manager

Our Food and Beverage Department is the heart of our busy hotel and includes our Brasserie restaurant and lounge bar as well as our extensive Meeting and Events facilities. As Floor Services Manager you will be working in conjunction with the departmental managers to provide round the clock service to satisfy our guest’s. Being in a customer-facing role means you are a confident and well presented individual with a warm way with people. We believe it is the people we employ that make the difference to the experience of our guests, and that is why we are looking for someone who is ready to go above and beyond in everything they do.

What will I be doing as F&B Floor Services Manager?

  • Bridging the operational gap between the Brasserie and Meetings and Events Teams to ensure smooth overall F&B running at all times.
  • Delivering personal training to individuals including statutory training, induction and on the job training to ensure they are utilised and developed.
  • Creating and managing a monthly department training calendar to include aspects of product knowledge, standards and health and safety training.
  • Acting as hands on manager on the floor when departmental managers are not on site.
  • Managing the pool of casual workers to ensure they are inducted, trained and developed including regular one to one appraisals.
  • Effectively managing the equipment used by both Brasserie and Meeting and Events to ensure stock takes are done on a regular basis and equipment is replaced when needed.

As F&B Floor Services Manager you will have…
