Ladies Day at Royal Windsor Racecourse

Royal Windsor Ladies Day

Everyone enjoys a day at the races, and Ladies Day is the perfect time for women across the country to place their bets and engage in the spectacular sport. It is a day that not only captures the beauty of horse racing, but also of the women and their fabulous outfits. For years the event has been set aside for sport and fashion to coexist.  If you are planning to attend the sophisticated event, here is a brief overview of what you can expect from Ladies Day 2016.

Held on Saturday 27th of August at the Royal Windsor Racecourse, gates for the event will open at 2.30pm on the day, with the first race commencing at 4.30pm. There will be seven races held this year and the final one will take place at 7.30pm, so there is plenty to get excited about. Besides the race, the day will be highlighted by The Human League, a band known for its worldwide success and one that served as an inspiration to many British favourites. You can spend the evening dancing away to a classic line up from the eighties like ‘Love Action’ and ‘Open Your Heart’.

Make sure you dress to impress for the traditional ‘Best Dressed’ competition that will judge contestants on sophistication and style.  Visitors will have a chance to showcase their unique flair in fashion, especially as Ladies Day is a major fashion event in its own right.

The restaurants on site will open two hours before the races begin and will be serving a delicious variety of appetizers whilst providing a relaxing atmosphere to choose your winning horse. There will also be an allocated picnic area for visitors to enjoy a homemade lunch out on the grounds as they enjoy a lovely view. The race is completely accessible as well, with entrances and parking available for disabled visitors. If you are driving from Windsor or surrounding areas, there is plenty of parking spaces available

Ladies Day is a historic event, and one that takes place every year without fail. Make sure you come and enjoy the races and the additional events at the Royal Windsor Racecourse with family and friends. It promises to be an exciting day out for everyone involved.
