Windsor Fun Run and Run for Chocolate

This weekend we will see hundreds of spectators flock to Dorney Lake to watch not one, but two, great winter running events. On Saturday the iconic Eton College location is hosting the Run for Chocolate, followed by the Windsor Fun Run on Sunday. Both are expected to have an excellent turn out for both runners and viewers, so it is certainly a sporting weekend not to be missed!

The Run for Chocolate is a 5km run offering unlimited luxury hot chocolate at the finish line – what more motivation could you need?! The laid back event is perfect for participants of all ages and abilities, and no runners are timed so you are free to walk, jog or run at any pace with no pressure. After the run there will be music, treats and hot chocolate for everyone, making for an ideal family day out that everyone will love.

Sunday’s Windsor Fun Run is set to be a more serious running event, with participants able to choose between 5km, 10km, 15km or a half marathon. An ideal event if you are training for the London Marathon 2017, or simply looking to beat your personal best. Dorney Lake boasts the flattest half marathon course in the UK and was also one of the most iconic 2012 London Olympic Game venues after hosting both the rowing and canoe disciplines.

Whether you are running in an event this weekend, or heading over to Eton College as a spectator, join us at The Brasserie at Sir Christopher Wren for a bite to eat and rest your feet. You can enjoy a delicious homemade burger, or traditional fish and chips whilst watching the swans glide down the River Thames.
