The location of the hotel, general ambiance and breakfast overlooking the Thames were, as usual, excellent. However the room I was given (rm2) was noisy due to the sound of machinery. The bathroom was also cold and cramped. When I told the front desk in the morning they advised me to book a more expensive room next time. I will pass this information to my company's travel booking service, although I expect the higher room rate may then take your hotel off our permitted travel list. We stayed one night on Monday 13th November. Great location. Fabulous room and amenities. Loved the bathroom. Beautifully presented and spotless. Staff were all charming, really helpful and engaged with us as guests. Special mention to porter who helped us carry our luggage across the courtyard ( as my husband had recently broken his arm). Lovely position for the restaurant overlooking the river. Will definitely plan to stay again when we visit Windsor

The cleaning of the room was not good. The housekeeping did not make right cleaning. The bed sheet, towels are not clean and not in good condition.. very old. The place wonderful, the reception staff excellent.

What a lovely hotel, great attentive staff in the brasserie, good food, nice breakfast albeit the taps in the bathroom needed some attention probably the best hotel shower I have experienced

Lovely breakfast both days, staff very friendly/ good. Location is fabulous! Room was small, especially as we upgraded to a superior room . Ok Good Disappointing as we have stayed at the hotel several times before. Always fabulous Only had breakfast, but was lovely Good Very helpful

We enjoyed the reception, room, breakfast, tea, dinner and hospitality. The location of the hotel is stunning. On the river and 100 metres from the castle. The food was great. Thank you for a wonderful stay. Did not use the wellness area.

Possibly down to the room (38), furniture dated, sash window next to the bed let in cold draft, but more annoying was the constant noise until the early hours of an extraction vent type noise. We did talk to reception who would have offered another room if the hotel wasn’t full. Any of the one issues would be overlooked but all together we did question value for money of the room. Thank you Helene for your help in organising our 50th Wedding Anniversary lunch 18/11/2023. We found all the SC Wren staff very friendly and helpful - in particular Raquel and Wendy. Hristo had a very positive can-do approach to life which we appreciated very much. One of the aims of our special lunch was to enable as many of our far flung family to be able to chat to as many family members as possible . In order to achieve this, we particularly wanted to change the seating between courses. Initially, we were told that this would not be possible. However, Hristo’s response when asked was very positive - he immediately said this would not be a problem as long as each guest took their name / menu tags with them. The result was perfect and we changed seating after every course. End result - everybody thoroughly enjoyed catching up with everybody - thank you Hristo. The food was very enjoyable - particularly the lamb which was probably the best we have ever eaten. Having the Pavilion area to ourselves all day was great - light and airy - giving a relaxed pleasant environment with views over the Thames . For future special occasions, we would thoroughly recommend the combination we had - private cruise on the Thames with French Brothers boat followed by lunch in your Pavilion . All in all we had a perfect celebration of our 50th Wedding Anniversary. To make the celebration more relaxing, we stayed the Friday and Saturday nights in your hotel - very pleasant. Thank you, Sir Christopher Wren Staff. Took a while to work out room heating system. The bathroom towel rack was particularly challenging - finally solved problem by experimenting with switches above the door - suggest you make this more obvious
