Parking Advice
Parking is very limited and tricky in Royal Windsor. Public transport might be the most convenient way to travel, check out our travel tips. If you’re bringing a car, it’s important to plan in advance. At the hotel, we have some parking options for you, but remember, it’s very limited so, if you wish to be guaranteed a parking space, then you must reserve one in advance!
Please note payment is taken upon arrival.
If you are visiting us soon and have not booked your parking space, please see below information about other nearby car parks.
PRE-BOOKED OFFSITE PARKING AT £15 PER CAR PER NIGHT
Book online to reserve a space in our limited offsite car park a five-minute walk away at £15 per car per night. Parking spaces are available from 12pm on the start day, and must be vacated no later than 12pm on the last day. You will need your hotel confirmation number to reserve a parking space.
Spaces in our offsite car park are located within a private section of Windsor & Eton Riverside Station car park. Check out the Windsor Overview Map to see its’ location relative to the hotel. Although the overnight charge in our private section is higher than the public car park meter price, by reserving one of the hotel’s spaces, you will be guaranteed parking for the duration of your stay. ///items.vows.crisp
When you book your car parking space online, you will be sent a parking voucher by email. Please print and display your parking voucher in your car clearly throughout your stay. When you arrive in Windsor, you can drop off your luggage or passengers at reception first, but please be very aware that Thames Street is a pedestrian zone and stopping or parking too long may result in a penalty ticket. Alternatively you can go straight to the car park first, park your car and then head to the hotel to check-in. Remember that parking is available only from 12pm on your start day.
Car park bookings cannot be extended beyond 12pm on the day of departure, and will only be valid for the dates and times on your booking voucher. You are free to come and go as you please during this time, as long as your car parking voucher is clearly displayed at all times. The car park is monitored and controlled, and cars that are parked outside the dates and times on the parking voucher are at risk of receiving additional parking charges.
HAVEN’T PRE-BOOKED YOUR PARKING?
If you haven’t had the opportunity of pre-booking a parking space, it’s unlikely that we will be able to accommodate your car on the day. We suggest trying some of the other local car parks including Windsor & Eton Riverside Train Station, which is a five-minute walk away, but is often full during the day Monday to Saturday. Other nearby car parks include Romney Lock, Alma Road, River Street, or King Edward VII. For a full list of car parks in Windsor, visit the Royal Borough of Windsor and Maidenhead website.
